Senior Modern Workplace Engineer
About you:
The Senior Modern Workplace Engineer role is to provide and lead high quality development, design, implementation, and documentation of technical solutions to meet the scope of client requirements.
You will be operating in a hybrid platform environment with on-premises platform and Azure Cloud. You will enable change to help customers transition to Azure Cloud for relevant components of the architectural roadmap. You will work with our customers to develop and implement modern workplace components including modern desktop SOE and utilise the Microsoft365 components for collaboration and productivity, including SharePoint, Teams, Power Platform.
The Senior Modern Workplace Engineer routinely operates in a multi-faceted customer environment, providing advice, technical leadership, guidance, and technical implementation capabilities across multiple customers in their area of knowledge and expertise. They have an extensive demonstrated commitment to customer satisfaction, accountability, ownership, and unwavering customer focus.
They will have demonstrated ability to communicate the value of Digital61 services in a way that resonates with all levels of the customer’s organisation. In addition, they must be able to explain the Digital61 value proposition to external people and organisations that would benefit from the deployment of services or solutions they have previously provided.
Essential Technical Skills:
Working knowledge of a broad range of ICT systems such as Cloud, Windows OS, Desktop, SOE, Virtualisation, Middleware, etc, and how they relate and inter-operate
Modern Desktop implementations including intune, exchange online, SOE development, Azure Virtual Desktop, M365 and Microsoft collaboration and productivity platform
Detailed level working knowledge of specific technology areas as a subset of the above
Subject Matter Expert (SME) level knowledge of specific technology areas
Ability to design, implement, troubleshoot, support, and upgrade the technologies they have a detailed level working knowledge of
Ability to provide advice and experience on the technical specifics, known issues, possible pitfalls with technologies they have a detailed level working knowledge of
Ability to provide expert level advice, thought leadership and experience on the technical specifics, known issues, possible pitfalls with SME technologies
Understanding and experience of avenues for technical escalation with technologies within a company, partner, vendor ecosystem
Ability to choose best fits from offerings available to meet specific use cases/requirements

As our clients are primarily government, you will need to be an Australian Citizen who holds an minimum NV1 security clearance or the ability to obtain.
This role will be based in Canberra.
