Splunk Administrator

About you:

You will be keen and enthusiastic, keeping up to date with the latest technologies and embrace working with a company who supports your continuous training and development.  It is expected you have a robust basis of knowledge and operational support experience as a basis for moving into a projects environment.  Involvement with a Federal Government agency would be advantageous

You will need to demonstrate the following essential skills and experience:

  • Demonstrated 5+ years of experience in working in a complex enterprise IT infrastructure environment. Relevant experience should include networking fundamentals, operating systems (Windows/Linux), security infrastructure (firewalls/proxy/IPS/IDS/AV).

  • Demonstrated experience in working across multiple vendor technologies with a deep understanding of ICT infrastructure systems integration and relevant security concepts

  • Demonstrated experience configuring and developing Splunk in a complex ICT environment, including experience with core on-premises Splunk components (Search Heads, Indexers and Forwarders), data acquisition, mapping data to the Splunk Common Information Model and developing and implementing technical use-cases, alerts, dashboards and reports

  • Demonstrated experience in writing technical documentation including detailed design documents, build guides and standard operating procedures

  • Splunk Power User Certification

Desirable:

  • Demonstrated experience in use and configuration of Microsoft Azure and Office 365 Security features (Defender ATP, Azure AD Identity Protection, PAM, PIM)

  • Understanding of cloud fundamental across Azure, Microsoft 365 and AWS

  • Proficient in scripting languages

  • Proficient in regex

  • Splunk Administrator Certification
